A panoramic painting (acrylics on canvas) of the rolling hills of the West Country in autumn – the view I am lucky to enjoy on walks from my doorstep.
Autumn is my favourite season, I find the colours on the hills and the skies particularly pleasing at that time of the year and nature‘s calm and stillness very soothing.
The picture is composed on horizontal lines fitting the unusual dimensions of the canvas and invites the viewer to pause near the tree of which one gets a glimpse on the left, and just take the vast Somerset scenery and evening sky in.
The painting can be framed but also hung unframed. In both cases it needs a fair amount of empty space around to really stand out as a vista.
