Framed painting (after David Cox), oil on canvas framed with antique style ornate moulded frame. A Homage to David Cox, one of my favourite English landscape painters of the same period as Constable and Turner, who painted in an Impressionistic style.
David Cox (29 April 1783 – 7 June 1859) English landscape painter, one of the most important members of the Birmingham School of landscape artists and an early precursor of Impressionism.
