I aimed to capture the essence and emotion experienced – like an exquisite symphony with shape, line, colour and marks the visual notes encapsulated. Built up acrylic and ink layers were worked into with various mark-making tools to create a rich surface history – a process of addition and subtraction until a balanced composition was found.
