‘Pirates Cove’ The Fleet & Chesil Bank,Oil on hardboard panel 28 x 80 cm. Mounted in White painted hardwood tray frame. An area of the Fleet popular with dog walkers known locally as ‘Pirates Cove’ between Ferrybridge & Wyke Regis Army Camp Weymouth. Taken from a walk along the Fleet lagoon,on a bright but chilly afternoon in March, I loved the the way the ripples of water formed channels along the beach at low tide, so I took a few photo’s and couldn‘t resist painting the scene.
