Inspired by the Somerset Levels, this oil painting is all about the calming effect of subdued moon light on unspoilt nature as one can experience it when walking along the canals of the levels.
The light pink and blue hues of the cloudy sky stand in strong contrast with the dark silhouetted trees and shrubs, and the little rippled reflections of the moon on the water add a touch of liveliness in this otherwise perfectly still landscape.
