Looking towards Exmoor
£115.00A view over patchwork fields and rolling hills towards Exmoor in the far distance,
The painting measures 46 x 33 cm and is framed in white, ready to hang, with external dimensions of 50 x 37 cm.
I studied Graphic Design at Manchester School of Art and after graduating, worked in a Design Studio in Germany for several years, before returning to the UK to run my own Design Partnership.
This design background invariably dictates the composition of my paintings and, now living in North Devon, my subject matter is often influenced by the stunning landscapes and seascapes of the area. I like the freedom of making bold and expressive, textural marks and really enjoy experimenting with unusual papers and collage. I use many different media - applied with paint brush, palette knife, roller, or whatever comes to hand - to help interpret the subject or scene with as much drama as possible.
