Candice Rouse
I am a pastel artist based in Corsham. I predominantly paint nature due to my childhood memories of holidays spent in the African Wild. Realism connects me to the subject I'm painting and I enjoy the challenge of capturing the beauty and ‘feel’ of what I’m seeing. Soft pastel is my choice of medium as I love the feeling of holding the pigment in my hands and the direct approaches of putting it straight onto paper.
