ALEXANDRA LAVIZZARI
Autumn at its most colourful – a wild and moody landscape in the Scottish Highlands in which the viewer is led from a deep red and brown valley in the foreground to the far off hills over which fog is slowly descending. I got the inspiration for this painting in acrylics from the beautiful countryside in West Scotland not too far from Oban. The style is impressionistic with bold brush strokes, more a suggestion of nature than an actual depiction of it.
The picture comes in a beautiful bespoke wooden frame lacquered in bright red perfectly matching the autumnal hues of the landscape.
