A soft pastel painting of beautiful pink red poppies in a lush garden. This eye catching floral artwork will brighten up any room and add to it a touch of summer with its vivid colours.
Flowers are not usually my subject, but I make an exception with poppies which, to me, display an incredible combination of strength and vulnerability. Maybe the fact that they last just a few days and cannot survive in a vase makes them especially precious. I have a wide variety of them in my garden and take pictures of them all year round – and occasionally I sit down and paint them.
