Michael’s paintings show his fascination with the geometry of life. At present he is working on a series of ‘ombrellone’ paintings depicting Italian beach umbrellas, playing with the shapes, colours and stripes, whilst reflecting the breeze and sunshine of the subject matter.
He has had work selected on numerous occasions (inc. catalogue illustration 2013) at the RA Summer Exhibition and the RWA Autumn Exhibitions (prizewinner 2009) as well as many solo and mixed shows in London and the South West.
In 2016 and 2017 he was selected for the RWS Watercolour show together with the prestigious Sunday Times Watercolour Competition at the Mall Galleries. He was a prizewinner at the Ilminster Open in both 2018 and 2019 and this year has had work in the Millfield Online Open Show.
He is included in the publication ‘Who’s Who in Art ‘ 35th edition and lives and works at Blagdon Hill near Taunton.
