Louise Bird Artist

I am primarily a portrait painter who works to commission, however in recent years I have also been creating my own pieces. My work is mostly figurative, realistic but with a contemporary edge. I work mainly in oils on canvas, medium to large sizes. All through my artistic career, which spans over thirty years, the human figure has been the over riding subject of my work. Exploring and celebrating emotions and character, the joy and fragility of life is what I strive to depict in both my portraiture and my own pieces.
