I live near Ilminster and I took up painting again 15 years ago. I have no formal training but I come from a very artistic background and I won an award for painting at school. However, I studied Garden Design and ran my own business for many years. My passion for plants and nature lead me to take up photography then it was a natural progression to take up art again. It was an opportunity to express my own version of the beautiful landscape around me rather than through the lenses of a camera. I also paint plein air when ever I get the opportunity as then I can see the true colours of the landscape. My art has developed into a real passion so if the weather is not on my side I’m happy to paint plants and still life in my Studio. I paint in Pastels, Oils, Water colour, Mixed Media and Acrylics.
