CLAIRE KINSEY
I was born in the potteries in Staffordshire, an industrial landscape, but moved to Devon in my late teens to a very different environment. I feel that both have influenced my work. I was surrounded by design and industry in Stoke and nature and space in Devon. Having always loved stained glass and art deco, the simplification of shape and vibrant colour seem to appear in most of my work. Colour is the most important aspect for me as it has the power to effect energy and emotion.
