Description
Soft pastel painting of an idyllic evening scene with a flock of sheep on the Somerset Levels. These fields and canals near Burrowbridge are one of my favourite places for a walk around where I live – and encounters with curious sheep is always a welcome ingredient of these walks.
I have chosen to paint this rural Somerset landscape with sheep in the foreground to give the viewer the impression that he is standing right in the middle of these lovely farm animals and looking towards the setting sun.
