Sebastian Coell ‘Wheal Coates Mine’
Sebastian Coell
British landscape photographer, Sebastian Coell, photographs a wide variety of beautiful and dramatic landscapes from across the UK including: Devon, Dartmoor and his Cornish seascapes. Here, Sebastian has captured the rugged Cornish coastline and the Towanroath mine shaft, beneath an overcast Cornish sky.
European and Scandinavian subjects also inspire. He enjoys capturing the technical aspect of the image and loves the creativity required in searching out new locations and subjects.

Pippa Howes ‘Behin’d the Cathedral Barcelona
Pippa Howes
A year spent in Barcelona, re-ignited Pippa’s passion for the architecture of old cities. She is inspired by the ‘hotchpotch of winding streets and different architectural styles of old towns and cities. She is inspired by both towns and woodland as both have the sort of spatial compositions she loves to explore in her work.
Pippa uses a wide variety of media in her practice, including: mixed media, oils and acrylics, pastels, pen and ink, pencil and charcoal, as well as print- making.

Ann Cole ‘The Bridge’
Ann Cole
This bold graphic acrylic, featuring the Clifton Suspension Bridge, is characteristic of Ann’s work. She loves to paint interesting scenes that are local to her.
Ann has been painting for over 30 years. She is a self-taught artist who loves to paint ‘anything and everything’ and creates works in a wide variety of media.
In 2022, her work on the theme of the future was selected from thousands of entrants. It featured as part of the popular TV series Greyson Perry’s art club.

Mary Parsons ‘Autumn Glow at Avebury Manor’
Mary Parsons
Mary’s colourful work shows the Alexander Keiller Museum and Avebury Manor Garden. It’s painted in a loose style, with areas left purposely undefined. This painting has soft muted tones that provide interest and variety. The composition features a strong contrast between the roof’s geometric shape and the soft natural forms of the tree tops.
Mary ‘likes to paint in varied and diverse colour palettes, that have been inspired by interior design’. She loves the stage of creating a work where she is actively generating ideas to use. Mary is drawn especially to the act of sketching.

Chris Clarke ‘French Weir, Taunton’
Chris Clarke
Chris is a self-taught artist who finds inspiration in his local environment and from his many walks throughout Exmoor. His painting of French Weir, Taunton is painted boldly in acrylic.
A weir has been on this site on the River Tone since the 13th century. It has been destroyed and rebuilt many times throughout the centuries.
