Description
Cornish art by British contemporary artist Diane Griffiths. Godrevy Lighthouse is a well known Cornish lighthouse on Godrevy Island in St Ives Bay, Cornwall. Built in 1859 to warn of a dangerous reef called the Stones, it’s a brilliant offshore focal point for Cornish art and Cornish artists to capture. Godrevy Lighthouse is a popular subject for Cornish artists and this view was taken from near the National Trust coastline of Godrevy Point, which has a stunning sweeping view across Gwithian Beach towards the Hayle Estuary and St Ives.
