Description
The area around the quay has always been fascinating for me as an exploration of the history of Exeter. The TV series the Onedin Line was being filmed when I was at Exeter College of Art and the quay then was quite different to how it is now. In reality time seemed to have stood still on the quay for a century in the 1970s (apart from one of the old warehouses becoming a night club/disco!).
I’ve painted and drawn the quay many times and this is one example, others have also been published depicting activity on the quay.
This limited edition print is on canvas and is the same size as the original. Within the edition of 195 there are other smaller sizes available with some on paper for framing behind glass.
