Luella Glover Wilson

My work has grown from tiny little watercolour cameo paintings of gardens and houses, often painted on commission, to (slightly) larger watercolour landscapes.  However, what has not changed is the inspiration from nature, particularly with water and with trees, and how the light and shade affect one another.  Since moving from Kent to Devon just over 10 years ago, my work has continued to develop, and recently I have been trying out seascapes and attempting to capture some wild weather.

When I lived much closer to London than I do now, I regularly entered my work into the big and prestigious open exhibitions, and it was chosen (and sold) quite frequently for the Society of Women Artists show, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour show, and the Royal Watercolour Society show.  Now I don't paint so much, and my work stays on show in Devon and Somerset exhibitions and galleries.
