I am an artist based in the South West of England who has been painting in oils and mixed media for the last 25 years. I draw inspiration from the hinterland of where nature meets emotion and the imagination- whether this comes from the visual world around us or from those places literature may take us. I have spent time studying art in Florence and Canada, and am involved in the South West arts community. I am currently exploring the use of Gold leaf -from Giotto to Klimpt and figurative Sculpture, but will always come back to the rich pleasure of putting Oil paint to Canvas.
