A Bit about Jane Branch

After taking my degree in Printed textile design and Lithography I spent the majority of my working life producing designs and images to commission in both ceramic tiles and painted wall murals. I worked with many Interior designers in London and had commissions for work abroad

On moving to The West Country 20 years ago I managed at last to paint for my own pleasure.

The Cornish and Devonshire coast , with rocks and rough waves have been of great inspiration to me ,but recently I have been incorporating the figure more and more into my work , often painting the figure in silhouette, being fascinated by body language .

Many subjects inspire me, using various mediums ,which has resulted in an eclectic mix of paintings.

I feel there should always be an element of mystery in a painting, leaving something for the viewer to interpret for themselves.

My paintings represent the importance of feeling , action and an instance in time
