CLIVE EDWARDS

My privilege is to be the beneficiary of generations of landscape painters and their respect for and fidelity to nature as a subject worthy of a life-time’s study. I was studio trained in oils and watercolour by a third-generation professional landscape painter who attributed his own technique to direct studies of Constable’s methods and whose grandfather had painted with Corot in France. Thomas Kennedy was one of seven siblings who were professional painters – an extraordinary flowering in one generation of this large artistic family. Today perhaps I am a footnote to this distinguished artistic lineage.

My work too has been exhibited by The Paris Salon and Royal Academy.  My perennial tutors remain light and water, mist and dew.
