Wide open vessel made with Devon clays.

This wide open vessel was made using pinch and coil methods with brown clay from Dartington and white clay from Newton Abbot, Devon. The black clay comes from Lyme regis, Dorset.  The inside and outside of the vessel are unglazed to show the natural colours and textures of the local clays. Fired to 1220c the clay is vitrified, making the vessel waterproof. This vessel measures 16cm high.
