winter landscape at sunset in acrylics inspired by rural Somerset around Wellington where I live. The painting is about nature at rest when it is covered in a heavy blanket of snow, and with the old wall and rusty gate leading into a field I wanted to invite the viewer to step into a realm of calm and to reflect on the beauty of the English countryside before the sun goes down behind the trees in the background.
The painting comes in a brown frame picking up the colours of the wall and the gate.
