Dramatic soft pastel painting of the Norwegian SS Nornen ship which got stranded in 1867 on the beach of Burnham-On-Sea in Somerset and which, like a skeleton, can still be seen when the tide is receding.

It is quite dangerous to get near the ship because the beach is one big mudflat and if one isn’t cautious one can easily be trapped and needs rescuing by helicopter. I kept a safe distance to sketch and finished the artwork at home in my studio.

The painting has a mount and comes in a frame of white natural wood.
