Description

The Golden Eagle.  The UK’s largest bird, absolutely magnificent.  My husband is from Brora, Sutherland on the NE coast of Scotland.  You will see these birds flying on high, soaring on the thermals generate by the highlands.  This eagle has been painted in acrylic, using an abstract acrylic flow technique for the background.  It’s on a big canvas 36 x 24″.  Used colours to illustrate the bracken and purple heather, together with greens and browns for the pine tree.  Sky has been painted in a range of blues and silver to provide atmosphere.  Absolutely enjoyed painting this one.   Also available as giclée prints on canvas or mounted on good quality paper.
