Dartmoor is a family favourite for a local wild adventure. With it’s harsh weather and wonderful expanses, I feel free and it reminds me of the vastness of the Kalahari plains where I spent my childhood. This painting was created after one such family visit… I have tried to express the energy and emotion I experienced through layered acrylic and then excavating back into the layers with various mark-making tools including palette knives and found objects from the tide line.
Ready to hang in beautiful off-white, hand-painted frame.
