National Trust House, Cotehele in Cornwall is set in the beautiful Tamar Valley.  This view is looking down through the Valley Garden towards the small town of Calstock with its famous viaduct spanning the River Tamar

I’m concerned here with evoking the distant spaces beyond the Valley Garden which can be glimpsed through the trees.  This sets and contextualises the foreground better and gives a slightly magic dimension.  The high viewpoint encourages a rather dreamlike impression, a little surreal perhaps
