Brown vessel with textured rim made with Devon clay.

This open vessel was made by hand using wild clay from Dartington and Newton Abbot, Devon. The rim was allowed to crackle and split during making, showing the characteristics of the local clay. Copper Oxide was added to give a subtle green colour. Both the inside and outside have been left unglazed to show the natural colours and textures of the local clays. It measures 10.5cm high.
