A stylish abstract design created with alcohol inks on a tile. Alcohol inks are extremely versatile and have a great colour intensity and luminosity.

I have called this piece ‘Shiraz’, because the colour combination and the shapes which suggest peacock feathers are reminiscent of traditional Persian art.

After the inks have dried, I applied a coating of resin to add shine and durable light fastness. The tile has a hook and little pads at the back so that it can be hung on the wall without it tilting forward.
