Abstract collage in red and gold, made with handmade paper, acrylics and petals.
The collage comes in a white mount and a bespoke dark red wooden frame and measures, with the frame included, 50cm x 50cm.
Description
For this cheerful abstract collage artwork I have used handmade paper I brought back from my visit to a Nepali paper making factory in Kathmandu, acrylics, grass blades and camelia petals. I have kept the colour range within deep warm red tones and contrasted these with gold.
The overall impression is one of flowers in a field, but I have deliberately left the floral reference open to interpretation, preferring a more stylised accent on forms and patterns.
