Museum quality Limited Edition Giclee Print.

Printed on high-quality archival paper using the giclée printing technique, “Garden of Eden” is part of Donovan Stanford’s Frigid Warmth Collection—an exploration of his profound fascination and intimate connection with the chilly, damp, dim, desolate, and windswept landscapes of England. “This body of work seeks to unravel the undeniable beauty that I have discovered nestled within these seemingly harsh and austere environments”.

  • REST AND REPOSE BY LISA PARKYN

    £500.00

Built up vibrant acrylic layers, transfers, collage and pastel then excavated into. I have always had a deep affinity with the natural world and draw inspiration from the textures, colour, patterns and atmosphere experienced.
Exploring the surrounding countryside and nearby Jurassic coast, I collect interesting objects which I keep in my studio for inspiration and mark-making including fossils, dried seed-heads, pebbles, decaying flowers and leaf skeletons.

I see a torso, whilst my hubby sees a tranquil sea view with cliffs. There is a definite influence from the book ‘The Body Keeps the Score: Mind, Brain and Body in the Transformation of Trauma’ by Bessel van der Kolk. We’ve probably all faced challenges in the last year or in our lifetime. I am curious about how the body and mind holds stress and the ways we cope, recoup and build resilience during challenging times. I often have to remind myself to rest and nourish my heart and soul.

My art practise has become more process driven and a sort of personal therapy where fragments of nature and everyday life that have been soaked up are reworked through the creative process. Like pieces of an unconcious puzzle that eminate from deep inside me become resolved in the artwork. Colour, texture and composition the visual words of something intangible.

The painting is signed on the back and the front surface is protected with UV safe varnish.

  • SKY OF SILK BY LISA PARKYN

    £1,500.00

My mother always pointed out an exquisite sunset to me from a young age. Perhaps that is why I am always drawn to a Turneresque sky which still stops me in my tracks – tranquil and uplifting at the same time. In this painting I have explored the marshy water reflections in an abstract way. I hope this work will bring you joy as it did me whilst painting it.

Ready to hang in beautiful off-white, hand-painted frame.

  • AWAKENING By Lisa Parkyn

    £600.00

This painting started with mark making and spontaneously unfolded on the canvas, working in acrylic layers. It was painted as my style was evolving to more abstract. The dramatic sky and distant horizon allows the viewer to project their own interpretation onto the piece – I love the fact that different people see and find a personal meaning in the work.

Ready to hang in an off-white, hand-painted tray frame.
