Speculation on how life might evolve was the starting point for this image. I’ve tried to create a strange building/being that might have grown from a seed! It’s not that silly. We have lots of wooden buildings and structures although there aren’t many that go for walks!

In this painting I’ve assemble a weird collection of things. Somehow they come together and are propelled above an undefined landscape. Probably not something we’ll see here any time soon but who knows what the future will bring?

Here is a view across a strange and maybe a beautiful place. There’s lots to see but it’s difficult to understand exactly what. There are trees and greenery, steep slopes, structures and possible indications of  earlier buildings showing through the green surface. What do you think?

- Inspired by a trip to Cappadocia in Turkey with its arid and rocky landscapes. There are many centuries of occupation in the rock, leaving marks openings and architecture on the surface and beneath the ground. This strange arched landform is an interpretation of these things but you won’t find anything quite like it if you visit Cappadocia.
